The idea is pretty simple: just don't buy gasoline on March 31
By filling up the day before the protest, organizers hope oil companies lose millions if not billions of dollars.
Instead of giving you money away try supporting a BLACK BUSINESS OWNER
If you do stop by a gas station and buy anything that isn't gas --
food, drinks, lottery tickets, charcoal, that ice scraper you've always wanted --
just don't pull up to the pump.
With the added publicity from the media, we are already making them nervous.
They are upset that a Facebook user Sarah Thompson (kudos for her)would create a day like this
but as the price of gas continue to increase, I agree that something need to be done.
Users on the site are constantly concerned if gas will rise to $5 or even $6 a gallon this summer.
"This is about taking a stand together against greedy people whose commodity happens to affect all other commodity prices," Thompson says.
And if you really want to save money at the gas pump, other way to help is to simple: drive less.
